Background on SAFE Act

In July 2010, the federal banking agencies, along with the Farm Credit Administration, (“the agencies”) published Final Rules concerning implementation of federal registration requirements of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act).
